Benjamin Straßburger has held the Chair for Public Law, Finance Law, Tax Law and Constitutional Theory at the University of Mannheim since May 2020. His research focuses on German and European financial and tax law as well as German and European constitutional law, including its theoretical foundations.

Before joining the University of Mannheim, Professor Straßburger was an assistant professor at the Institute for Finance and Tax Law at the Ruprecht-Karls-University of Heidelberg.
