Doctorate

The opportunity for a doctorate in the above-mentioned research areas of the chair is offered. Prerequisite for this is principally the German First Law Examination with the grade “vollbefriedigend” or better in the university and state part or the grade “vollbefriedigend” or better in the German Second Law Examination. Applicants with a foreign qualification may also be accepted as doctoral candidates provided that their completed degree is equivalent to the aforementioned German Law examinations. For further details, please refer to the doctorate regulations of the faculty.

In principle, you can also be accepted as a doctoral student with a foreign university degree. The prerequisite for this, however, is that these degrees are equivalent to the German legal state examinations.

Acceptance as a doctoral student does not give any entitlement to employment at the chair. If you are interested, please make an appointment via the secretariat.
