The libraries mainly cover general civil law, with a focus on liability and tort law, and insurance contract law, with a focus on property and personal insurance. The online catalogue of the University Library of Mannheim serves you for literature research:

- for the chair's library stock the signature number 329.
- for the institute's library stock, enter the shelf mark number 307.
Information on Rental
- There is no service outside the opening hours.
- The borrower must leave his contact details.
- Information on the publisher and the publication series are helpful for better seatching.
- The borrower has to search for his literature independently.
- The lending to persons who do not belong to the University of Mannheim can only be made for external copying against deposit of an identity card (e.g. student card, driver's license or similar).
- General literature and commentaries can only be borrowed for external copying against deposit of an identification card. For certain pieces, the loan period can be up to one week.
- Books that can be borrowed from the textbook collection cannot be lent.
