The annual Christmas Lecture with ELSA is just around the corner. It takes place on
Wednesday, 02.12.2020, at 19:00 in JURA-ZOOM-03
and is held under the topic “Christmas as a Festival of Lights”:
Christmas, which is celebrated in the dark season, has been associated with light symbols for quite some time: Advent wreaths, Christmas trees, pyramids of lights, stars, etc. Where do these customs come from, what hopes do people associate with them and what dangers do they expose themselves to – where is the fire and what does the right say?
As a small compensation for the mulled wine that ELSA pours out usually, the initiative raffles 10 meal vouchers among all participants.
So make yourself comfortable at home with a mulled wine and celebrate Christmas together with Professor Brand and your fellow students.
