Graduate Program “Geld und Währung“

at the Department of Law

The Stiftung Geld und Währung (Monetary Stability Foundation) supports the Graduate Program “Geld und Währung”, a joint project of the Department of Law, the Center for Doctoral Studies in Economics (CDSE), and the Center for Doctoral Studies in Business (CDSB) at the University of Mannheim.

The program’s objective is to train doctoral candidates in accordance with international standards and to award scholarships for outstanding dissertations.

Doctoral candidates at the Department of Law can be admitted to the graduate program if their dissertation project deals with a topic from one of the following fields: European, German, and international monetary law (including the foundations of primary and constitutional law), European, German, and international law governing financial markets and transactions, financial intermediaries, and other financial institutions.

Currently, Professor Bitter, Professor Brand, Professor Franck, Professor Kainer, Professor Renner, Professor Röder, Professor Schäfer and Professor Straßburger from the Department of Law are involved in the program.
