Law for Economics Students

Information on minoring in Law as part of the bachelor's program in Economics

Students of Economics can integrate many of the modules available at the Department of Law into their program by selecting Law as a minor. It is possible to obtain up to 31 ECTS credits from modules in Law. Within this framework, students can flexibly choose the number of courses they would like to take. For detailed information, please take a look at the website of the Department of Economics.

Students need to obtain approval of their selected module(s) during a mandatory consultation at the Department of Economics.

In addition to that, they are required to make an appointment for a meeting with the academic advising team at the Department of Law in order to discuss the choice of their module(s). The latter obligation is only dropped if the student has only selected the module/s “Öffentliches Wirtschaftsrecht” (public economic law) and/or “Bürgerliches Recht” (LAW 301 offered by the business school) and/or “Recht” (lecture for the bachelor's program economics).
