Career Day

Each fall semester, the Department of Law hosts the Career Day, which takes place in the festive Gartensaal venue in the Schloss. This event provides students with the opportunity to meet employers, such as law firms, authorities, or consultancies. If you want, you can also take part in a job application training prior to the event where you can learn how to make new contacts at a job fair, for example. Students who visit the Career Day can talk to representatives from the HR and expert departments of companies and authorities and ask them about current job vacancies for students, trainee lawyers, and lawyers who have passed both state examinations. Apart from full-time positions, vacancies often also include internships and part-time student jobs. In the past, the Federal Foreign Office, KPMG, and the Oberfinanzdirektion Karlsruhe (a state-level financial authority), as well as the law firms Oppenländer and Ritterhaus Rechtsanwälte presented themselves at our Career Day. Furthermore, visitors can attend presentations and seek advice on how to write a CV on the spot. Please see the website of the organizer Myjobfair/IQB Career Services for more information on the Career Day.
